Client: Flexible WiFi
The Brief
Flexible WiFi enlisted our help to showcase one of their installations at the Heart of England Conference Centre in the West Midlands. The installation by Flexible WiFi spans the mammoth 160 acre site, with a view to providing strong networking for the entire site and it’s wide-ranging mixed use applications.
Flexible WiFi wanted to showcase the nature of the installation in a dedicated video for their online portfolio – something which will allow them to more easily demonstrate to new clients their experience on sites such as these.
The video was to be snappy, short and engaging while effectively outlining the challenges Flexible WiFi had solved for this client on-site.
Our Approach
We first spoke with the team from Flexible WiFi to understand both their aims for the project and to understand the complicated nature of the installation. For our team, it was crucial to understand exactly what Flexible WiFi had done on site so that we could effectively showcase the right things in the correct way. We then did a walk around of the site with one of the team from Flexible WiFi to understand the location of their works, and the constraints of the site from a filming perspective.
In order to capture the project effectively, we used a mix of arial drone videography, stabilised gimbal videography and sit down interview portions in a bid to most effectively tell the story. As part of the project we also animated Flexible WiFi’s logos, and put together a number of visual effects to demonstrate things such as WiFi signal and locations of access points in an easy to understand, visual driven manor.
The Results
The result was a snappy, engaging and highly-effective 3 minute video of the Flexible WiFi installation at the Heart of England Conference and Events centre that will help Flexible WiFi better engage with prospective customers.
As a result of this work, we are currently working with Flexible WiFi to explore future installations we can target for their portfolio.
Different Approaches
This allowed us to get a variety of footage, from drone to gimbal and tripod stabilised. This brings variety to the video and keeps the content engaging.
Multiple Project Stakeholders
It was important to represent both businesses in the best light, and minimise disruption while shooting.
Photography
For this project we captured both videos and photos throughout the two shoot days to maximise value for money for the client.
